The Daisy 880 family of guns are very accurate and can be further improved with a couple of modifications. For metal receiver guns the receiver bridge modification is one of the best accuracy modifications, especially for maintaining zero over time. The next accuracy modification is the barrel adapter. The factory adapter incorporates the front sight into the barrel/shroud alignment piece. The problem with the factory method is that the tolerance between the barrel and the front sight is not always very tight and the fit between the front sight and the barrel shroud is not very tight either. Also over time these tolerances WILL get worse. Using one of the muzzle adapter designs provided here will eliminate this issue. The provided muzzle adapter designs lock the barrel and shroud together. The 3D printed adapter should be an almost interference fit between the barrel and adapter. The adapter is secured to the shroud with set screws. The best option is the machined aluminum adapter that locks the inner adapter to the barrel with set screws and screws into the outer adapter that secures to the shroud with set screws. The aluminum version has a mechanical interference fit on both mating surfaces. I have used the 3D printed muzzle adapter and the machined aluminum adapter on my 822 and both provided 1/2" groups at 50 yards.
